FCC Construcción is an active participant in the following construction sector organisations:
The Spanish Construction Technology Platform (PTEC)
The PTEC's mission is to lift the Spanish construction sector to a high technological standard by identifying and analysing the main challenges it has to face in connection with, for example, society, sustainability and technology, through the development of strategies for tackling those challenges in the upcoming decades.
The Platform's membership includes all kinds of organisations belonging to the construction sector and auxiliary industries, including companies, associations, universities and technology centres.
FCC Construcción is a member of the Standing Committee and participates in the following strategic lines of work at the PTEC:
Buildings and cities; underground construction; sustainable construction; use of ICT in building; health and safety; transport systems.
European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP)
Like the PTEC, the ECTP has the mission of acting as a channel to innovation in construction, but the ECTP covers all of Europe, as an industry voice that European Union agencies listen to. FCC Construcción is a member of the ECTP's High Level Group, and it participates in several of the ECTP's Focus Areas.
The ENCORD Group (European Network of Construction Companies for Research and Development).
This is the European group of major construction companies whose main objective is to espouse its members' interests in Europe in relationship with R&D&i.
The SEOPAN R&D&i Committee
FCC Construcción is a founding member of the committee, whose purpose is to defend the position of the SEOPAN member companies in matters regarding innovation.
E2B Association
FCC Construcción has been a member of the E2B (Energy Efficient Buildings) Association since the association was first formed by the European Construction Technology Platform. The E2B Association has become one of the PPPs (public private partnership) approved by the European Commission in the R&D&i field. Its objective is to work for the inclusion of building energy efficiency topics in the R&D&i programmes organised by the European Union.
FCC has recently revalidated its presence on the Steering Committee.
reFINE
FCC Construcción participates in the founding core of reFINE (Research for Future Infrastructure Networks in Europe), an initiative arising from the European Construction Technology Platform and aimed at generating research activity for the future infrastructure systems of a Sustainable Europe.
R&D&i Working Group on AENOR's Advisory Board on Construction Company Certification
Aitemin
FCC Construcción is a member of the Board of Trustees of Aitemin, a not-for-profit foundation devoted to research in several sectors (including mining, underwater building and ceramic components).
